Mapping

Mapping lets you link items across two different site sections in bulk using a grid. It is different from Related Items, which links two specific items to each other, and Tags, which group items by label. Use Mapping when you want to define which items from one section are relevant to items in another.

Step 1: Navigate to Mapping

1. Click on Sites in your top navigation bar.
2. From the drop-down menu, select Mapping.
3. Your site sections are listed in the left sidebar.

Step 2: Select two sections

Click the first section you want to map. It gets highlighted with a rows icon. Click a second, different section. It gets highlighted with a columns icon. The matrix grid appears in the main area.

Step 3: Use the grid

The rows of the matrix are the items from the first section. The columns are the items from the second section. Check a cell to link the row item to the column item. Uncheck it to remove the link.

Step 4: Autosave

Changes save automatically as you check or uncheck cells. The breadcrumb bar shows a Saved confirmation. There is no separate Save button.

Step 5: Swap or deselect sections

To change one of the selected sections, click it again in the sidebar to deselect it, then click the replacement. To start over, click both highlighted sections to deselect them.
