Managing Your Site

Identity, content, visibility, media, cross-references, and SEO.

Managing Your Site covers the six everyday areas of Enine Sites: identity, content, visibility, media, cross-references, and SEO/AEO.

Identity

Identity settings control how your Enine site looks and is branded: title, subtitle, logo, favicon, hero image, colors, and theme.

Title and Subtitle

Your site title and subtitle are used throughout your site. The title is your brand or company name. The subtitle is a short sentence describing what you do.

Logo

Your logo appears in the site header across all pages.

Favicon

A favicon is the small icon shown in browser tabs.

Hero Image

The hero image is the main visual shown at the top of your homepage.

Colors

Your color palette controls the visual identity of the entire site. Changing a palette value updates all linked elements automatically.

Themes

Themes control the layout and presentation style of your site. Changing themes does not remove your content.

CTA Buttons

Call-to-action buttons appear on your homepage and point visitors to the action you want them to take: get started, see how it works, book a call.

Content

The Content section covers creating categories and content items, editing copy, attaching images and icons, reordering, and deleting.

Categories

Categories are your main sections.

Content Items

Content items live inside categories.

Editing

Each content item contains editable fields. To begin making changes, enter Edit Mode by clicking the Pencil Icon at the top right of your screen (just below the navigation bar).

Images

Images can be attached directly to content items.

Icons

Icons help visually distinguish items and sections.

Reordering

The order of your content shapes what visitors notice first. Reordering lets you control that without deleting or recreating anything.

Deleting

Deletion is permanent. If you only want to temporarily hide content, use the Published toggle instead.

Visibility

Visibility settings control where each piece of content appears: on the homepage, in the navbar, in the footer, or hidden entirely.

Publishing

If you want to hide content without deleting it, similar to saving a draft or moving to an archive, use the Published toggle.

Featuring

Your homepage shows a highlights reel for each category. Only featured items appear in it. The category page always shows everything published.

Navbar

You can choose exactly where a category link appears -- at the top of your site, at the bottom, or hidden from the main view entirely.

Footer

The footer appears at the bottom of every page and is a reliable place for links visitors look for after reading your main content.

Meta

By default, categories appear on the homepage. You can hide a category from the homepage while still keeping its dedicated page active.

Media

The Media Library stores every file you upload once, so you can reuse it anywhere on your site without uploading it again.

Uploading

The Media Library is your central storage hub for every image and file on your site. Once a file is uploaded here, it can be reused across any page or section without uploading again.

Reusing

Uploading the same image multiple times creates duplicates that are harder to manage. The Media Gallery is built around a select once, use everywhere model.

Cross-refs

Cross-references connect content across sections: tags group items, related links join two items, and mapping links whole sections in bulk.

Tags

Tags let you create connections between content that lives in different sections. A blog post and a service can share a tag even though they belong to separate categories.

Related Items

Related links keep visitors on your site longer by surfacing content they might not have found on their own. One connection, visible from both sides.

Mapping

Mapping lets you link items across two different site sections in bulk using a grid. It is different from Related Items, which links two specific items to each other, and Tags, which group items by label. Use Mapping when you want to define which items from one section are relevant to items in another.

SEO + AEO

The SEO and AEO tools control how search engines rank your pages and how AI assistants cite them.

SEO Content

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) helps people find your website on search engines like Google. You can customise these settings for every page on your site.

AEO Content

AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) makes your content citable by AI assistants. Every content item on your site carries one AEO role that tells machines what kind of thing it is: Article, FAQ, Person, Place, Product, Review, or Service.

AEO Roles

Enine Sites assigns each content item one AEO role: Article, FAQ, Person, Place, Product, Review, or Service. The Roles page is the master control panel for those assignments across your whole site.

Short Content

Short Content is the single most important AEO field on your site. It is the one-sentence summary emitted as each item's description in your site's JSON-LD -- the sentence an AI assistant reads, and can quote, in isolation.

JSON-LD Preview

Enine Sites shows you the exact structured data your site emits, so AEO is verifiable rather than taken on faith.

Audits

An audit scans every public page on your site and reports SEO and AEO issues as errors and warnings for each URL.
